# Working a catch

Rewriting a draft, finishing it, and hiding one you do not want.

## Can I rewrite the draft before posting?

Yes, with one limit worth knowing. The draft has a Rewrite button and a counter beside it that starts at 5 regenerations left and drops by one each time you use it, so you get five automatic rewrites per draft. Editing the text yourself is not limited, and you can change it however you like before you publish it.

Next to the reply button you also choose the type of reply: warm-up, soft-sell, promo or operational. Warm-up is the default.

## What happens when I finish a catch?

You mark it complete with the Complete button and it moves to the Completed panel, behind the checklist icon in the header of the platform, where a Reopen button brings it back. If the original thread was deleted, the catch shows that the post is no longer available.

If you want a catch out of the feed without marking it done, use Archive instead. It is covered in its own question on this page.

## How do I hide a catch without marking it done?

Press Archive on the catch card. The catch leaves your feed and a toast reads "Catch archived." with an Undo button in it, in case you pressed it by accident.

Archived catches sit in the Archived panel, behind the box icon in the header of the platform, next to the checklist icon that holds your Completed catches. An archived catch does not come back to the feed on its own: Unarchive in that panel is what returns it.

Archiving also lowers the new number in the header counter, the same way completing does. Complete is for a catch you have dealt with; Archive is for one you want out of the way without marking it done.

Archiving also teaches HeyCatch which topics are not relevant to you, which is why archiving something you do not want is more useful than leaving it in the feed and ignoring it.
