# Adding your product

Which products you can add, which link to use, and what to do without a site yet.

## What kind of product can I add?

A project is created from exactly one link, a website, an App Store page or a Google Play page, or without a link, from a brief you type in yourself: on the Add your first project screen, the line "No website yet?" under the Add project button has a link, Fill in manually.

Once the project exists you can add the other side of the same product to it: an app listing to a project created from a website, or a website to a project created from a listing. It costs 40 credits and gets its own audit and action plan, under Growth Audit in the sidebar. The steps are in "Can I have both my website and my app listing analysed in one project?".

## I don't have a website or an app listing yet. Can I still start?

Yes. On the Add your first project screen, under the Add project button, the line "No website yet?" has a link, Fill in manually. Press it instead of pasting a link and answer the questions yourself. The link is on that first-project screen only: the Add new project window for a second project does not have it.

Four are required: Product name, What does it do?, Who is it for? and What problem does it solve?. The rest are optional and sharpen the research: what your customers use today instead, why they would switch to you, where they hang out online, what they would type when they hit the problem, your stage (Pre-launch or waitlist, Live, free only, or Live, taking payments), how you charge, your main market (the US if you leave it blank), a link if you have one, anything real we can mention, and anything we should never say.

Press Save brief. Your audience, competitors and action plan are built from it, the same way, in the same time and at the same cost as a project started from a link. You can edit the brief later on the Product brief page.

A link is optional here. You can add one later with the pencil at the top of the Product brief page. For a project started with Fill in manually that costs credits, and before you confirm, the window explains what the change does.

## I have a web app and a mobile app. Which link do I use?

One project takes one link, so pick the one your marketing should point at.

If both are the same product, you do not need a second project. Add the other side to the project you have, under Growth Audit in the sidebar: your app's store listing on Listing optimization, or your website on Website optimization, for 40 credits. Check the link before you add it, because once added it cannot be changed or removed. It gets its own audit and action plan, while your Product brief, Audience, Competitors, catches and videos stay built on the first link. Install the analytics SDK in both with the same project key, and Analytics, Product shows a tab and a funnel for each.

A different product is a second project. You add it yourself: press the project name at the very top of the sidebar and choose Add new. Both projects stay under the same account and you switch between them in that menu. The second is billed separately, on its own plan, at $59.95 per 4 weeks or $119.90 per 8 weeks, and that price is permanent for the project, renewals included. The price is shown in the Add new project window before you pay.

## Do you support mobile apps?

Yes. A project can be built from an App Store or Google Play listing, and the SDK tracks in-app events. A project built from a website can add its app's store listing later and have it audited too, under Listing optimization in the sidebar, for 40 credits. Store-level numbers such as impressions and installs are not available yet.

## I picked the wrong type of product during setup. Does it matter?

No, and there is nothing you need to change. Choosing SaaS when you meant mobile app does not send the analysis down a different path.

What everything is built from is the page your project was created from. The link is read, and the brief, the audience, the competitors and the audit come out of what that page actually says, rather than out of the option picked during setup.

So if your documents describe the product wrongly, that choice is not where it comes from. The Product brief is what to correct: open it, press Edit, fix the text and apply the change.
