# The X warm-up line

How the warm-up line works on X and what each step allows.

## How does the warm-up line work on X?

X has its own warm-up line, and the card above your X catches shows where your account is on it.

1. Newcomer, a brand new account's first week: 1 reply a day for the first 3 days, then 2, with no links and no posts. Posting opens on day 7.
2. Regular, while the score is under 6: up to 5 replies and 1 post a day, with no links.
3. Trusted, from a score of 6 with no critical fixes left in Account health: up to 8 replies and 2 posts a day, with links. Your product gets named in replies once the account is 14 days old with 25 followers.
4. Insider: also 30 days of account age and 50 followers, plus X Premium or 300 followers: up to 12 replies and 3 posts a day.

The score, out of 10, reads account age, followers, activity, Premium and how your replies land. The reply numbers above are where each step tops out. A step starts lower, and about once a week the reply limit goes up by one if you closed at least half of your catches. So the card shows your limit for today, which can be below the step's top: a Regular account may read "Up to 3 replies + 1 post a day", with a note such as "Next +1 reply in 5 days". Replies are spaced about an hour apart, and never more than one to the same author in a week.

Every 3 days we re-check the account and the card moves with it. In Account health the badge reads New, Warming up, Held or Ready.
