Mobile apps
One prompt installs analytics in any mobile app: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin or Flutter.
How do I install analytics in a mobile app?#
One prompt installs analytics in any mobile app, whatever it is built with: React Native, Expo, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin or Flutter. You do not install anything else separately.
- Open Install under Analytics, or the gear icon in the top right of Product once your first install is confirmed, and go to the Mobile app section.
- Pick your framework.
- Press Copy prompt and paste it into your coding agent, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. It does the install.
- Build and run the app, open it once, then press "I've installed" within 30 minutes.
The app uses the same project key as your website. A mobile app has no pageviews, and short links do not work inside it. Store numbers, meaning impressions and installs, live in App Store Connect and Play Console, not in HeyCatch.
Does the CDN import cover my mobile app as well?#
No, the CDN import covers the web surface of your product only. Native has no browser module loader for it to run in, so a mobile app goes in through its own install instead.
Every mobile app, React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin or Flutter, installs with one prompt from the Mobile app section of the install panel, described in the first question on this page.
My app is a web build wrapped with Capacitor. Does the analytics SDK work?#
Yes. Capacitor runs your app inside a WebView, so there is a real DOM and the web SDK applies, unlike React Native.
One step catches most people out: editing the web files is not enough. Sync the web build into the native project and build again, otherwise the app keeps shipping the old bundle and no events arrive.
