How many catches you get

Daily volume, missing catches, why catches stop, and when daily counters reset.

How many catches do I get?#

It depends on the platform, and on Reddit and X also on your account's step on the warm-up line.

  1. X: Newcomer, a brand new account in its first week, gets 1 reply a day for the first 3 days and then 2, with no links and no posts. Regular gets up to 5 replies and 1 post a day, with no links. Trusted, from a score of 6 with no critical fixes left, gets up to 8 replies and 2 posts, with links. Insider gets up to 12 replies and 3 posts. These numbers are where each step tops out: a step starts lower, and the reply limit grows by one about once a week while you close at least half of your catches. The card above your X catches shows your step and your limit for today, so a Regular account may read "Up to 3 replies + 1 post a day" before it gets to 5.
  2. Reddit: Newcomer, a brand new account in its first week, gets 1 reply a day for the first 3 days and then 2, with no links. Regular gets up to 7 replies a day, never more than one per subreddit, with no links. Trusted, from a score of 6, gets up to 5 replies a day, with links and product mentions allowed. Insider keeps up to 5 replies a day and adds posts, 1 a day in the first week, then 2 when there are enough subreddits to rotate through. The card above your Reddit catches shows your step and your daily number.
  3. Threads: two posts a day. Threads catches are posts only.

The feed does not refill until the next day, and the daily limits cannot be bought with credits.

Some days bring fewer, or none at all, and that is normal rather than a fault. We would rather send you nothing than send you posts that are not worth replying to.

The counter in the header reads like "12 new | 40 total". New means catches you have not dealt with yet, and opening one does not clear it; completing or archiving one does. Total is everything you have ever received on that platform, and the difference between the two is what sits under Completed and Archived together, the two panels behind the checklist and box icons in the header. So a large new number is a backlog rather than a single day of delivery.

Where did my daily catches go?#

Ask us here if the count looks wrong. We can see how many were delivered to you today per source, and the all-time total, which separates "today's are used up" from "none have ever arrived".

How much arrives depends on the platform. Threads sends two posts a day, and on Reddit and X it depends on your account's step on the warm-up line, shown on the card above that platform's catches. The day resets at midnight in your timezone. The pacing is deliberate.

If the header shows a large new number, that is not a day of delivery. New counts catches you have not dealt with, so it builds up until you complete or archive them.

If yours looks like it is resetting at some other hour, tell us in this chat and we will look at your project.

I am not getting any catches at all.#

First check that the account is connected. Catches for Reddit, X or Threads arrive only after you connect your account on that platform, so a project with nothing connected gets none at all, by design. The fix then is to connect the account, not to change your keywords. For Reddit and X that is under Settings, then Social accounts.

Ask us in this chat before changing your keywords or subreddits. We can see the two halves separately and they need opposite fixes.

One half is the monitoring pipeline: whether your keywords were generated, when each source was last fetched, whether a fetch is erroring or queued and backing off. If nothing is being pulled in, nothing can be delivered, and reworking your targeting changes nothing.

The other half is the feed itself, including the all-time total, which separates "none today" from "none ever". Those two are different problems and we will say which one you have.

Before you worry, a day with nothing in it is normal. There are three reasons and they need different answers.

  1. There were not enough good posts to reply to that day. We would rather send nothing than send you something irrelevant.
  2. Your keywords are not matching anything. If the empty days keep coming, review the keyword list and drop the ones that never pull anything in. The best keywords are two or three words long, single broad words and long phrases both tend to miss.
  1. On Reddit, the account's step on the warm-up line. A paused account, whose profile stopped loading publicly, gets nothing at all, a Newcomer gets one or two replies a day, and every step before Insider gets replies and no posts. The card above your Reddit catches says which step you are on.

One quiet day is the first reason. A run of empty days in a row is the second, unless the card shows the account paused.

I only see Post drafts and no replies. Why?#

Tell us in this chat and we will look at your project before answering, because the two causes look identical from your side.

Reply catches are filtered for quality. We only surface threads that are genuinely worth replying to, so it is normal to go a while without any. That is the usual answer.

The other possibility is that the monitoring side is not fetching for you, which we can see and you cannot. If nothing is being pulled in, no amount of waiting produces replies. Past about two days with nothing at all, it is no longer the filter, and the monitoring side is what gets checked.

Why am I only getting replies and no posts on Reddit?#

That is the warm-up line doing its job, not a bug and not an empty feed.

Posts open only at the last step, Insider. Until then we send replies, because a post from a young or low karma account is the fastest way to get removed by a subreddit filter, and repeated removals put the account itself at risk. Replies build karma safely, so we start there.

  1. Newcomer, a brand new account's first week: 1 reply a day for 3 days, then 2, with no links.
  2. Regular, until the score reaches 6: up to 7 replies a day, never more than one per subreddit, with no links.
  3. Trusted, from a score of 6: up to 5 replies a day, with links and product mentions allowed, and still no posts.
  4. Insider: 30 days of account age, 50 comment karma, a score of 6 and no open critical fixes. Posts open, 1 a day in the first week, then 2 when there are enough subreddits to rotate through. They go to the subreddits in your targeting that allow self-promo posts and whose karma bar your account clears.

The card above your Reddit catches shows your step and the Insider targets, ticked as you reach them. Once the account reaches Insider, posts appear in the feed on their own.

Why did my Reddit catches stop?#

There are a few reasons and they need different answers.

  1. The account is paused. If your Reddit profile stopped loading publicly, which usually means a shadowban, or the account was suspended, we stop sending replies straight away, because commenting from an account in that state does not help and can make things worse. The card above your Reddit catches reads "Replies paused: profile not visible" and lists the steps, and outreach resumes once the profile loads again and passes a re-audit.
  2. The score dropped below 6. The card then carries a banner such as "Score dropped to 5.2. Mentions pause until it's back over 6." The account is back at Regular, so posts stop too and replies come without links for a while.
  3. Comment karma dropped below 50. The banner then reads, for example, "Karma dropped to 46. Posts pause until it's back over 50."
  4. Nothing is wrong and it was simply a quiet day. We would rather send you nothing than send you a thread that is not worth your time.

Tell us in this chat and we will look at which one it is.

Why did my X catches stop or slow down?#

The card above your X catches says which of these it is.

  1. Blocked: replies are paused because X hides the profile from search, cannot find the account, suspended it, the account is protected, or X is not returning its tweets. The card lists the steps for your case. A hidden or suspended account comes back through X's own appeal, never through a fresh account, which X treats as ban evasion. An account we cannot find was usually renamed: reconnect it and the audit re-runs for free. A protected account comes back within an hour of turning off Protect your posts in X and re-running the audit. When X is not returning tweets, we retry every 3 hours and resume on our own; reconnect the account if it lasts longer than 24 hours.
  2. Paused for 48 hours: followers dropped more than 10% in a week, or X hid the profile from search. The reply limit goes back to the start of your step and catches pause for 48 hours.
  3. Limit held: you closed fewer than half of last week's catches, so the reply limit did not grow. Close at least half of this week's and it moves up at the next weekly step.
  4. Held: the score is there, but a critical fix in Account health, such as the bio or old tweets, holds posts and links back until it is done: open the fix and press Complete once you have made the change.
  5. Preliminary score: X did not return activity data at the last check, so the limit does not move until the next check, in 3 days.

If none of these fits, tell us in this chat.

My daily counters reset at a different time than midnight where I am.#

They reset at midnight in your own timezone. That is how it works for catches, swipes and every other daily counter, on every plan.

If yours looks like it is resetting at some other hour, tell us in this chat and we will look at your project. We can also read the exact time your window resets today, which is more use than guessing at it.
