How do I connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook?#

Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Social accounts, and expand your project. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook are listed there, each with a Connect button that opens a hosted window where you log into the platform. Sign in to the account you want in that browser first, because the window picks up whichever account is already logged in.

Facebook adds one step of its own: a choice between Standard Access and Business Access. Choose Standard. The window itself says to choose standard access if you are unsure.

That screen is always available, and it is the route we recommend. The connect step also appears on the video approval screen after your first accept, but that route depends on having swipes left.

Once connected, accepted videos are scheduled and published for you.

The first time you connect one of these platforms, we show you what to expect on it, including how to warm up a new account.

If you are not sure whether a connection actually completed, ask us in this chat rather than reconnecting on spec. We can see which accounts are attached to your project and say which platform is missing.

Can I post my videos to Facebook?#

Yes. Facebook is the fourth platform videos publish to, alongside Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and it works the same way: once the account is connected, a video you accept with a right swipe is scheduled and published for you, with no second confirmation.

To connect it, use the Facebook row at the Select platforms step, or Settings, then Social accounts. The Connect button opens the same hosted connection window as the other platforms. What you connect is a Facebook Page: Facebook lets apps publish to Pages, so connect the account through the connection window and pick the Page you manage.

Two things during and after connection are worth knowing.

  1. Facebook asks you to choose between Standard Access and Business Access. Choose Standard. The window itself says to choose standard access if you are unsure.
  2. Once connected, the account can display as a numeric ID, for example @103898185880373, instead of a name. That is normal and not a sign that the wrong account is connected.

The first time you connect Facebook you also get a What to Expect on Facebook window, with the same warm-up guidance as the other platforms.

My account is new. How should I warm it up before videos start publishing?#

The first time you connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook we show you what to expect on that platform. The guidance depends on the state of the account.

  1. Brand new account: spend the first 3 to 5 days behaving like a normal user. Fill in the profile photo and the bio, spend 10 to 20 minutes a day in the feed, watch videos to the end, like them and leave meaningful comments in your niche. Do not publish anything in that period. After it, post once a day for the first week and twice a day in the second week.
  2. Warmed up but still new: on Instagram start with reels, because a slideshow may not get views at this stage, and the first 3 to 5 posts see lower reach.
  3. Warmed up account: post as normal, 1 to 3 videos a day per platform.

This sits alongside automatic publishing rather than against it: nothing publishes that you did not accept with a swipe, so warming up means not accepting videos yet rather than changing a setting.

None of the figures above apply to Reddit. Reddit warm-up is a different thing with different rules, and it is covered in the article Getting your Reddit account ready.

I changed my social password and my posts are failing. How do I reconnect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook?#

Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Social accounts. Find the platform, press Disconnect and confirm, then press Connect on the same row and log in with the new password. Posts keep failing until the account is reconnected.

Sign in to the right account in your browser before you connect, because the connect window picks up whichever account is already logged in.

That screen is always available, so there is nothing to wait for. If you would rather check the state of the connection first, ask us here and we will read it from our side.
