Listing optimization (App Store and Google Play)
Auditing an app listing, adding a second link, and re-scanning.
I have an App Store or Google Play project. What does my audit score?#
A listing audit rather than the website audit, on the Listing optimization page under Growth Audit in the sidebar. It scores eight dimensions of your store listing: title with subtitle and keyword field, icon, screenshots and video preview, long description and promotional text, trust signals, localisation, technical health including update cadence and privacy labels, and monetisation transparency.
The five-dimension version, positioning, conversion clarity, trust signals, pricing and SEO basics, is what a website gets, on Website optimization. One project can hold both: a project created from a listing can add its website, and one created from a website can add its listing, for 40 credits.
How do I re-scan the listing audit on an App Store or Google Play project?#
Open Listing optimization, under Growth Audit in the sidebar, and press Re-run audit, the same control a website has. It reads your store listing again, re-scores the audit and rebuilds the action plan in the same pass, for 40 credits, and the button carries the price on it.
Past runs are kept, so you can compare the new scores with the ones before. Make sure your updated listing is live in the store before you press it, because a run started too early scores the old listing again.
If you do not see a re-run button on that page, say so here.
Can I have both my website and my app listing analysed in one project?#
Yes. A project is created from one link, a website or a store listing, and the other side of the same product can be added afterwards. Both pages sit under Growth Audit in the sidebar.
- Your project was created from a website and you also have an app. Open Listing optimization. It asks for your app listing: paste the link to your app's page on the App Store or Google Play and press Add app listing.
- Your project was created from an App Store or Google Play listing and you also have a website. Open Website optimization. It asks for your website: paste the link and press Add website.
Either one costs 40 credits, and the price is on the button. Use a public page, one that opens without logging in. The form says it is ready in up to 5 minutes; the first runs we have seen took about 20, most of it waiting in the queue, so allow 20 minutes before writing in. You get a scored audit and a ranked action plan for that listing or site, the same way the first one got its own.
It all stays in the same project, so there is no second project and no second plan to pay for. The first audit and its action plan stay where they were, on their own page.
Three things to know before you press the button.
- Check the link first. Once added, it cannot be changed or removed.
- It adds an audit and an action plan and nothing else. Your Product brief, Audience, Competitors, catches and videos stay built on the link the project was created from.
- After that it is re-run like the first one, from its own page, 40 credits a run.
This is the audit of your store page or your site. Tracking what people do inside the app is a separate thing, the analytics install, covered under Analytics.
I added the wrong app listing or website link. Can I change or remove it?#
No. A link added on Listing optimization or Website optimization cannot be changed or removed in the app, so there is no field to look for: not on that page, not on the Product brief and not in Settings. It is a different link from the one your project was created from, and the pencil next to the project link on the Product brief page is not a way to fix it: that pencil changes the link your project is built on and wipes the whole project, the added link included.
Tell us here which link you pasted and which one you meant, and a person will look at it. Nothing about it is automatic and nothing is promised in advance, including the 40 credits the run cost.
The rest of your project is not affected. An added link feeds only its own audit and action plan, so your first audit, your documents, your catches and your videos stay as they were.
