Threads, LinkedIn and Facebook groups

What is supported on Threads, and LinkedIn and Facebook groups.

Do you support Threads?#

Yes. Threads is the third catch platform, alongside Reddit and X. It gets its own section in Catches with the same counter, reading like "3 new | 12 total", the same checklist and box icons holding your Completed and Archived catches, and an Archived panel where each card carries Unarchive and Open on Threads.

Two differences are worth knowing.

  1. Threads catches are posts only, two a day, written for your product and your audience. There are no replies to other people's posts.
  2. There is no Account health button and no warm-up line on Threads. The warm-up line exists on Reddit and X.

You do need to connect a Threads account before anything arrives in that section.

Why are there no replies for Threads?#

Because the platform does not open that up. Threads gives tools like ours no way to reply to other people's posts, so there is nothing for us to draft and nothing to switch on. It is a limit of the platform rather than a choice on our side, and it stays that way until Threads opens it.

What you get on Threads instead is two posts a day, written for your product and your audience. Reply catches exist on Reddit and X, where the platforms allow them.

How do I publish a Threads catch?#

By hand, the same as Reddit and X. Open the catch and you get the post text with a character counter that runs to 500, which is the Threads limit, and a Copy button under it. Copy the text, publish it in Threads yourself, then mark the catch complete.

We do not publish to Threads for you and there is no setting that turns that on.

Do you support LinkedIn or Facebook groups?#

Publishing videos to Facebook works: Facebook is one of the four video platforms, alongside Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and you connect it in the same connection window as the others. Facebook groups are a different thing: as a source of catches they are not available yet, and nothing in HeyCatch posts to a Facebook group.

LinkedIn is not available yet either. LinkedIn catches are planned for October 20.

Until then the working channels are Reddit, X and Threads for catches, and Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook for videos. Nothing is generated for LinkedIn or for a Facebook group, so anything you publish there is your own writing.
